CAREER GUIDANCE is an inclusive term that has been
used to describe a range of interventions including career education and
counseling, that help people to move from a general understanding of
life and work to a specific understanding of the realistic life,
learning and work options that are open to them. Career guidance is
often thought to incorporate career information, career education and
career counseling.
The definition of career guidance and counseling includes the
creation of information on labour market, educational options, as well
as employment options and their accessibility for the interested
parties, at any moment. Also, it includes the presumption that
individuals can receive professional help in defining areas in which
they can realize their aspirations, interests, competencies, personal
traits, qualifications and abilities, and to connect them to available
training and employment options.
The need for informed career choices becomes vital in conditions of social and economic crisis.
Program for Career Guidance and Counseling
The program is mainly addressed to adolescents aged 14-17.
However it is common for high school graduates, students or even older
individuals seeking a change of undergraduate studies or a choice of
graduate studies to ask for help.

The Career Guidance process consists of the following sections:

all relevant information.

not only about certain professional options, but also about alternative
study opportunities and future personal and career goals.
